Connecting

FortressMC runs Minecraft 26.2 at fortressmc.net. It supports both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition clients.

Java Edition

Java clients from versions 1.10 through 26.2 can connect. Version 26.2 is recommended because older clients may display substituted blocks, interface errors, or inventory desynchronization. Versions 1.9 and earlier are not supported. A licensed copy of Minecraft: Java Edition is required.

The recommended client modifications are optional. Java players may install Simple Voice Chat to use proximity voice and the server’s radio system.

Bedrock Edition

Bedrock clients connect to fortressmc.net through port 19132. Supported platforms include Windows, Android, iOS, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.

Bedrock access is provided through Geyser. Some Java Edition mechanics and interfaces are represented differently on Bedrock clients. The current differences are documented by Geyser.

Network restrictions

VPN and proxy connections are blocked by default. An IP address may also be blocked when an unusually large number of accounts connect through it. Players affected by a legitimate shared network may appeal through the FortressMC Discord.
