Misc Tweaks
Misc Tweaks is a collection of gameplay changes that do not belong to a larger FortressMC system. It provides the custom end portal grid, alternative world resources, enchantment changes, limited command teleportation, and several item and quality-of-life features.
World generation
Because strongholds do not generate, custom end portal frames are placed on a regular grid and eyes of ender are redirected toward them. The grid is described in World Design.
Suspicious sand and gravel clusters generate with loot derived from desert pyramids, trail ruins, ocean ruins, and trial chambers. Sand clusters have an 8 percent chance to occur in a chunk, while gravel clusters have a 6 percent chance.
Nether wart is added to loaded soul sand valley chunks with an 8 percent chance per chunk and one to three plants per patch. Gilded blackstone is created from small blackstone veins with a 12 percent chance per Nether chunk.
Mob spawners are removed from newly generated chunks, and ordinary dungeon chest loot is cleared.
Enchantments
Frost Walker, Soul Speed, Swift Sneak, Wind Burst, and Mending can appear at an enchantment table with low probability. Mending has a 0.5 percent trigger chance.
Fortune and Looting can each be raised to level V through anvil combination. Two level III items produce level IV, and two level IV items produce level V. Levels IV and V do not appear at the enchantment table.
Fishing
Enchanted books are removed from the fishing loot table. A book result is replaced by cod, salmon, tropical fish, or pufferfish. The Cat and 13 music discs each have a 0.4 percent chance to appear as an additional catch.
Totems and golden apples
Totems of Undying retain their resurrection and fire-resistance effects but do not grant regeneration or absorption. Ordinary golden apples retain absorption but do not grant regeneration. Enchanted golden apples are unchanged.
Items and mechanics
- Standing banners can be worn as helmets.
- Nine string craft one cobweb.
- Player-versus-player kills drop the victim’s head.
- Blaze rods are resistant to fire.
- The minecart speed cap is 30 blocks per second rather than the vanilla limit of 8.
- Distant fire ages and extinguishes while no player is nearby.
- First-time players receive 32 cookies, a bed, a boat, and a welcome book.
The Globe, Snout, Flow, and Guster banner patterns have shapeless recipes.

Commands
/help opens the FortressMC information site. /discord posts a link to dc.fortressmc.net, while /map posts a link to the live map. /gamma toggles a night-vision effect and is also available as /fullbright, /fb, /nv, /nightvision, and /bright.
Command teleports
Each new player receives two command teleports. A request expires after 60 seconds if it is not accepted. The player whose position changes pays one teleport from the persistent allowance.

Vault bastions prevent command teleports into or out of their fields unless the moving player has matching access.
